It seemed as though I had been running for days. He wasn’t giving up his chase. He had worked too hard to find me and he wasn’t going to abandon his goal now. No matter how much I ran. I don’t know what made me run in the first place, but I knew that if I were to let him catch me, things would end up bad. For the both of us.I know that all he wanted from me was my jewel, but I needed it to survive on land and my time was slowly running out. I had to find some water, and fast. I stopped and took a breath. I wasn’t used to breathing on land yet. He was gaining on me. Maybe I could just stop and fight. I don’t know what to do. I’m running out of time. I look around me and see nothing, no one. I gather all the strength I have left and begin to run again. I run and run until I finally get the scent of the ocean in my nose. I’m close to home! “I’m coming to get you, boy! You can’t run forever!” Yells the hard voice of the hunter ninja whose been chasing me. He’s gaining fast. The ocean is finally coming into view. My gills are starting to reappear. I don’t have any time left. I can’t breathe anymore. My legs slow down and the man’s footsteps are getting closer. I can’t feel my body anymore. All this running was putting massive amounts of strain on my muscles. I collapse. “Haha. I’ve got you!” Were the last words I heard. Labels: writing Turhan [
