 You heard right folks. This game is a sequel to the 2006 game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The game was officially announced in a press release by Activision on February 8, 2008. The game was scheduled to be released sometime in 2009. At E3 2008, it was given the official name of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion. Plot: The game's plot will begin with the events depicted in the Secret War story arc of the Marvel Universe and will then progress into the period of the Civil War. Game Informer noted that during one mission Iron Man and Captain America argue with one another hinting at the schism depicted in the Civil War. It is speculated at some point in the game players will be forced to choose sides in the conflict as heroes have been seen battling other heroes in certain levels. Doctor Doom or Lucia von Bardas have been speculated to be involved with the main plot after a trailer released at E3 which showed a military operation originating in Latveria.
